Ice Hockey

The Duchesne Hockey Club (DHC) fields Varsity and B-Teams each season that represents Duchesne High School (DHS). DHC is a not-for-profit organization and is non-school sponsored club.

Varsity Player Eligibility:

For players who are going into grades 9-12.

B-Team Player Eligibility:

The birth years for 2025-26 season are 2010, 2011 and 2012. 

The B-Team program is for players grades 7-10 also meeting the requirements of 14U Bantams in youth hockey.

No Youth Tier 1 (AAA), any player rostered on a Central States team, or any Central States Prospects player may be rostered. 

Varsity Practices:

• September through February - Sundays and Tuesdays

B-Team Practices:

• September through mid-October - Sundays and Tuesdays with Varsity
• Mid-October through February - Sundays with Varsity
• March through May - Once-a-week, B-Team only (days and times may vary)

Duchesne Ice:

• Sundays: 7:10 pm @ Wentzville Ice Arena
• Tuesdays: 9:00 pm @ Mills Ice Zone

Note: Coaches may move ice assignments around to meet tournament, games, and playoff needs.

First practice will be Tuesday 9/2.

Crossbar will reflect team practices.

Varsity jerseys are an additional cost and will need to be purchased by the player's family. Helmets must be black and will be the responsibility of each player.

Player fee: $255. This includes home and away jerseys and socks and a logo pant cover shell. Prices are subject to change based on supplier cost.

New players or players needing replacement jerseys will be coordinated and ordered by a DHC Board Member.

B-Team jersey is included in the fees and will be returned at the end of the season. A fee of $75 will be applied to players account if Jersey are not returned. Socks will be the responsibility of each player.

DHC practice jerseys are included for both teams and will be returned at the of the season.

Mid States Requirements

Academic Eligibility - All Varsity/B-Team players need to have their previous school year's report card or transcript uploaded prior to the start of practice. This can be done as part of the club registration process. Mid-States requires that all high school players have passed at least three credits of classes in the most recently completed semester.

Safe Sport - REQUIRED SAFESPORT TRAINING FOR BIRTH YEARS 2008 OR EARLIER. If you are a 2008 birth year or earlier, you will be required to take the SafeSport Core Training or Refresher Course prior to participation for the 2025-26 season. 

Submit the following after registration:

1. Birth Certificate (New Varsity & B-Team players)
2. Report Card (10th-12th grade Varsity players)
3. Mid-States Definitive Emergency Medical Care Consent (All players)

Duchesne Hockey Club Requirements

All club players must read, sign and return a copy of the Duchesne Hockey Club Players Code of Conduct. Form provided by Head Coach.

2025-2026 Pricing

• Varsity Goalie - $1,300
• Varsity Player - $1,800
• Varsity/B Swing Player - $1,900
• B-Team Goalie - $1,200
• B-Team Only Player - $1,400

Fees include Mid-States fees (cost of ice & referees), coaches fees, practice, practice games and referees, practice jerseys, one in-town tournament, club expenses, fundraising table, and the end of year banquet. Fees do not include Varsity Jerseys. B-Team jersey fees are included in the B-Team Player fees.

Sibling Discount

First player in family pays 100% of the highest playing level, each additional player in the family receives a discount against their level rate. Contact DHC Treasurer before registering.
