Ice Hockey
The Duchesne Hockey Club (DHC) fields Varsity and B-Teams each season that represents Duchesne High School (DHS). DHC is a not-for-profit organization and is non-school sponsored club.
Ages
Varsity Player Eligibility:
For players who are going into grades 9-12.
B-Team Player Eligibility:
The birth years for 2026-27 season are 2011, 2012 and 2013.
The B-Team program is for players grades 7-10 also meeting the requirements of 14U Bantams in youth hockey.
9th and 10th graders must play for the school they attend.
When
Registration for Varsity and B-Team will start in August.
Practices for Varsity and B-Team will start in September.
Where
Varsity and B-Team games will be held at St. Louis regional rinks.
Practices are held at Wentzville Ice Arena and the Mills Ice Zone.
Practices
Varsity Practices:
- September through February - Sundays and Tuesdays
B-Team Practices:
- September through mid-October - Sundays and Tuesdays with Varsity
- Mid-October through February - Sundays with Varsity
- March through May - Once-a-week, B-Team only (days and times may vary)
Duchesne Ice:
- Sundays: 7:10 pm @ Wentzville Ice Arena
- Tuesdays: 9:00 pm @ Mills Ice Zone
Note: Coaches may move ice assignments around to meet tournament, games, and playoff needs.
First practice will be Tuesday 9/8.
Crossbar will reflect team practices.
Games
The Varsity and B-Teams each play in the Mid-States High School Hockey league.
Varsity: Regular season league play is typically 20 games. Varsity league games start in October and end in January. Playoffs run through February.
B-Team: Regular season league play is typically 10 games. B-Team league games typically start the last week of March and run through then end of May.
Tournaments
Varsity will participate in a Fall tournament. The tournament cost is included in the DHC fees.
The B-Team will be seeking opportunities to participate in a Spring tournament.
Jerseys
Varsity jerseys are an additional cost and will need to be purchased by the player's family. Helmets must be black and will be the responsibility of each player.
Player fee: $255. This includes home and away jerseys and socks and a logo pant cover shell. Prices are subject to change based on supplier cost.
New players or players needing replacement jerseys will be coordinated and ordered by a DHC Board Member.
B-Team jersey is included in the fees and will be returned at the end of the season. A fee of $75 will be applied to players account if Jersey are not returned. Socks will be the responsibility of each player.
DHC practice jerseys are included for both teams and will be returned at the of the season.

First player in family pays 100% of the highest playing level, each additional player in the family receives a discount against their level rate. Contact DHC Treasurer before registering.
